We're introducing a simplified pricing model that better reflects how developers and teams use Appsmith. This eliminates complicated user tiers and provides predictable, user-based pricing that scales with your needs.

We've refined our offerings into three distinct editions:

• Free Edition ($0): Perfect for small teams and individual developers to explore Appsmith's core features, with easy upgrade options as your needs grow.
• Business Edition ($15/user/month): Built for growing teams, this edition adds collaboration features, unlimited environments, advanced workflows, and dedicated support to help teams build and deploy faster.
• Enterprise Edition ($2,500/month for 100 users): Designed for organizations requiring enhanced security, scalability, and support. Includes managed hosting, SAML/OIDC integration, custom roles, and dedicated solutions engineering.

Our simplified pricing model eliminates unlike other platforms, there is no additional charge for developer seats or separate developer pricing, allowing all users to build and edit applications. With predictable per-user pricing and straightforward user management, teams can easily scale their usage. We offer flexible options for various use cases, including public apps, customer portals, and digital citizen applications, while providing clear upgrade paths as your team expands.

Note that these changes only apply to new sign-ups - existing Business users will keep their current pricing.

Launch week day 4- Managed hosting

We're launching a new managed hosting service for Enterprise edition customers that takes care of all your infrastructure needs, so you can focus on what you do best - building great apps, faster. Get your applications up and running in minutes instead of spending days on infrastructure setup.

Get your own server resources that ensure your enterprise apps run smoothly and quickly, without sharing with other users.

You'll get both testing and live environments, with servers in the US West, US East, or EU regions. We promise 99.99% uptime, so your apps stay online and reliable.

Ensure your applications run smoothly and efficiently. The system handles traffic spikes through built-in auto-scaling capabilities, while maintaining data integrity with daily and pre-upgrade automated backups.

We keep your system up-to-date with quarterly version updates implemented without any service interruption. In the rare event of an issue, our swift restoration process minimizes any potential downtime, ensuring your business operations continue uninterrupted.

Launch week day 3- Custom widgets copilot

We empower developers to build exactly what they need. While our platform focuses on drag-and-drop front-end development, we understand that developers sometimes need to add custom touches to their apps.

Our custom widget builder lets developers create their own UI components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. However, building these components from scratch can be time-consuming. To make this process easier and more accessible, we've added AI capabilities to help streamline custom widget development.

We're excited to introduce the custom widgets copilot. This new feature lets you describe the widget you want in plain language, and our AI generates the code for you. You can create new widgets, modify existing ones, and get help with debugging - all through simple conversations with our copilot. Here are the main features:

• Streamlined creation process: Access the AI tab in the Custom Widget Builder and describe your desired widget functionality.
• Edit existing custom widgets: Modify existing custom widgets using AI assistance. The Copilot helps you extend functionality.
• Intelligent debugging: When encountering issues, describe the problem to the Copilot. It analyzes the widget code and suggests fixes for common errors and bugs.
• Feature enhancement: Extend widget capabilities by describing new requirements. Test the AI-generated implementations in real-time.
• Full code control: Switch between AI assistance and manual coding through the HTML, Style, and JavaScript tabs. Maintain complete control over your widget's implementation.

The AI copilot integration enables faster widget development while maintaining the flexibility that developers need, making it accessible for everyone regardless of their coding expertise. This feature is now available for all cloud and self-hosted users, ready to accelerate your custom widget development workflow.

Launch week day 2- Data integrations and widgets enhancements

Improving the app-building experience directly impacts productivity and reduces development time. We are committed to providing you with intuitive tools and efficient workflows, allowing you to focus on creating value through your applications instead of wrestling with technical complexities.

That’s why last year brought several updates to improve integrations, expand capabilities, and boost performance. Here's what's new:

Enhanced data integration

• Shared Google Drive integration: Access and manage files directly from Shared Google Drives in your applications. Perfect for teams working with shared documents and resources.
• Snowflake key-pair authentication: We've added support for key-pair authentication in Snowflake connections, providing an additional secure method for handling large-scale data operations.

Improved table widget

• HTML column support: Tables now support HTML content in columns, enabling rich data presentation including formatted text, links, and custom styling.
• Enhanced inline editing:
  • Select fields now display human-readable labels instead of raw values during inline editing.
  • Added Custom Loading State property for better control over loading indicators.
  • Fixed validation handling and currentRow functionality for more reliable operations.

Other improvements

• Performance: JSObject operations are now significantly faster, with near-instant save times to keep your development flow uninterrupted.
• File handling: File upload limits on S3 have been increased to 100MB, supporting larger files like media assets and datasets in your applications.

Launch week day 1- IDE enhancements

At Appsmith, we are committed to being the preferred low-code platform for developers. This shows in everything we do—from our GIT implementation to our code-based workflow builder. We're dedicated to making development more efficient and intuitive, which is why our latest IDE updates will help streamline your work.

Throughout the past year, we listened to your feedback and tackled common challenges like debugging and context switching. We've made the platform smoother and easier to use with improvements like better context retention and streamlined navigation.

One of our biggest achievements was introducing side-by-side editing, which transformed how developers work with Appsmith. This feature perfectly combines visual building with coding capabilities.

Here are the key improvements we've made to the IDE:

• Split mode: Our new split-mode layout boosts efficiency by letting you view and edit queries and UI at the same time, with responsive queries that adapt to your screen size and orientation. Switch smoothly between entities using query tabs, and leverage the updated datasource tab to view schema and generate queries with the click of a button.
• Enhanced debugger: Debug your applications faster and more effectively with enhanced logs that include request parameters. Navigate quickly using the improved linter and use our new state inspector to get visibility into your application state.

We're continuously working on making Appsmith an even better development platform.
