Today’s the day: Appsmith Agents is officially available!

We’re thrilled to announce our groundbreaking platform that expands generative AI’s capabilities for the millions of knowledge workers in sales, support, customer success, human resources, and other business teams.

Appsmith Agents is a new agentic AI platform that integrates the latest AI models with your private and proprietary data at scale — inside the tools and systems you use every day.

By giving continuous context to these AI models, Appsmith Agents lets you and your team leverage them to ask questions and configure automations specific to your business — making a transformational difference in your workday.

Watch Appsmith Agents in action below to see how continuous context levels up the experience of using AI at work.

How Appsmith Agents works

Appsmith Agents deploys as an embedded copilot, either as a Chrome extension or as an integration with applications such as Slack or Notion. Behind the scenes, it marries a layer of continuous context infrastructure with public large language models (LLMs), giving them persistent access to business-specific data on two fronts:

  1. Business data sources, such as Salesforce, Zendesk, and internal databases, among others.

  2. The user’s real-time work environment.

This additional contextual data allows Appsmith Agents to solve problems and complete tasks that publicly available LLMs simply cannot on their own. Now, sales, support, customer success, and other knowledge workers can easily tap an AI model to assist or automate their thorniest work tasks.

If you’re an account executive…

While managing large, complex accounts, Appsmith Agents can help you:

  • Surface key decision-makers and stakeholder notes from past calls

  • Pull CRM activity across multiple opportunities within the same account

  • Summarize current deal status, procurement blockers, and contract terms

  • Auto-draft follow-up emails with mutual action plans

If you’re a support representative…

While looking at a Zendesk ticket, you can ask Appsmith Agents to:

  • Pull customer information from a CRM

  • Find internal documents about the customer’s issue

  • Trigger an escalation workflow to specific teams

  • Check the status of pending actions like refunds, approvals, or order cancellation

  • Auto-generate replies for customers based on context

For mid-market customer success managers…

While supporting multiple fast-moving accounts, Appsmith Agents can help you:

  • Fetch renewal dates, product usage trends, and support history in seconds

  • Identify accounts at risk based on low adoption or recent churn signals

  • Generate QBR decks or check-in summaries with key insights

  • Recommend playbooks for expansion or upsell opportunities

  • Draft follow-up emails with links to training resources or feature guides

Continuous context: The key to AI adoption for business teams

Appsmith Agents is different from other solutions because of a key innovation: continuous context.

AI has skyrocketed since the arrival of ChatGPT in November 2022. But while 400 million people sign in to the most popular chatbot every week, only a fraction of them are using it for regular work tasks.

We recently surveyed over 200 knowledge workers about their AI use on the job and the findings were stark:

75% of IT employees are using AI on the job, but only 45% of employees outside IT and engineering can say the same.

What’s the problem? It turns out that AI solutions have a lot of room to grow for sales, support, customer success, and human resources use cases.

On their own, public AI solutions like ChatGPT and Claude lack an understanding of your business data and the work to be done. Yet it’s this exact information that your business teams need to do their jobs.

How can they use AI if AI doesn’t have the right information?

Continuous context streams the right information into LLMs, enabling them to return specific, context-aware responses to knowledge workers who rely on systems like:

  • Salesforce

  • Zendesk

  • Intercom

  • Google Drive

  • Slack

  • Notion

  • PostgreSQL

  • MongoDB

… or any other data system.

Finally, AI tools can work with the same understanding about your data that you have.
